ORDINANCE NO. 35-01 TO AMEND CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE UNIFIED ZONING ORDINANCE OF TIPPECANOE COUNTY, INDIANA, DESIGNATING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST LAFAYETTE, INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NO. 32-97 IS HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Change 1-10-2, WORDS AND TERMS DEFINED, of 1-10, DEFINITIONS, of CHAPTER 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, by amending the definition of "gross floor area" to read as follows: GROSS FLOOR AREA. The total area of building expressed in square feet, measured by taking the outside dimensions of the building at each floor level intended for occupancy or storage. Should an eating or drinking establishment (SIC 58) within a building extend to any outdoor seating or serving area, exclusive of right-of-way, such as a patio or rooftop, that area too shall be, by definition, included in the total.
