WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual 2002 budget;

SECTION 1. Now therefore, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana that for the expenses of the municipal corporation, the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the fund herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws of governing the same:

GENERAL FUND

Police Department

LINDBERG/MCCORMICK ROAD IMPROVEMENT FUND

SECTION 2.

Explanation for the additional appropriation:

Police

To expend a contribution from Subaru-Isuzu Automotive for the West Lafayette Police D.A.R.E. Program.

Lindberg/McCormick Road Improvement Fund

To appropriate INDOT grant reimbursements expected in 2002.

SECTION 3.

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and signing by the Mayor, and approval of the additional appropriation by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
